Stations Of The Cross- Lupe

On Holy Thursday, the seniors of our school, including myself, got to recreate the stages Jesus went through before his death on the cross.

We had a regular morning tea and play but lunch was shortened to about 10 minutes one last practice. We had to go through 14 stages of the crucifixion of Jesus.

Everyone contributed in being in character when we arrived at our parish hall. We had Jesus, six soldiers, Mary and her friend, Pontius Pilate, Simon and his friends, Veronica and her friends, and the women of Jerusalem which I was a part of, along with two narrators.

We had a dress rehearsal that went well with only a few mistakes to fix.

When it was time for the real event we stayed in a little room with everyone and waited until our school arrived so that we could begin Stations of the Cross.

I felt confident and shy mostly when Jesus approached the woman of Jerusalem, which I was one of, because of people surrounding us I felt lots of tension from those who hated Jesus.

I think that the Stations of the Cross went better than expected and was fun and enjoyable to be a part of.
